"More Than A Violation of Public Trust"

OPEN LETTER

Mr. Eric Holder

Attorney General

June 1.2010

I, am a 72 year old lady.  Whom prides herself as being a very pleasant person at all times.  It is not in my nature to verbally attack anyone.

Please, be advised that for several years I have been seeking help as well as safe dialysis to stay alive.  I, have constantly been abused at  DaVita & Fresenious dialysis units.  Instead of correcting the misuse and abuse several kidney doctors appear to have nurses and or tech's attack me during dialysis treatments..

This all started in 2003 with one kidney doctor in Washington, DC..  Dr. Meer Zonozi signed on as my doctor at Providence Hospital along with Dr. Emmanuel Brown.  I, had been taken off of dialysis for about a year.  When I came down with what appeared to be the flu.  One of my daughters was dating Dr. Brown whom told her to rush me to Providence hospital.

Dr Meer Zonozi  &  Dr. Brown was waiting for me at Providence Hospital in order that they could personally admit me..  The plan was to get me back on dialysis.  These doctors undermined my daughter and me causing me to go thru (3) three unnecessary and painful  operations in (3) days.

While at the same time they attacked Medicaid.  I, clearly stated to Dr. Meer Zonozi and Dr. Brown that I did not want to have surgery at that time.  I, wanted a second opinion!!

DaVita doctors have forced me to travel to Maryland, Virginia, (back to Pennsylvania where I was born & raised), Ohio, Illinois and Delaware for maintenance dialysis treatments.  (DaVita doctors at St. Francis Hospital Wilmington >  Dr. Taylor, Dr. Jackson, Dr. Phillips and others had set me up for 2 different blood transfusions in 2 straight days along with my experiencing 2 terrible reactions that still has  a lingering sicking reactions on me.  Constant Infections, cold to the my bones feeling, constant cough, night sweats and wondering if any of that blood was tainted etc..

Then, Dr. Philip told one of my sons that I could not take care of myself and that he should put me in a nursing home.  Further more they would not discharge me.  I, signed myself out.

Immediately after I returned from St. Francis Hospital to George Washington University Hospital to see my primary care doctor expressing my concern about the transfusions and my condition.   I, was admitted into the hospital and given antibiotics by DaVita doctors.

I, also informed both doctors that I did not want them as my physicians.  Right after that statement Dr. Meer Zonozi started stocking me at other DaVita dialysis units and was telling people that I was his patient.

Which lead to detrimental abuse at George Washington University dialysis unit and all out sabotaging of my maintenance treatments.  Female nurse (Chris) attacked me during several of my dialysis treatments.

However when the attacks first started I was not sure that they were attacks but then the nurse stood over me and jerked my tubing out of the catheter in my chest.  Blood went every where.  The nurse just looked at me with a smile on her face.

I, went to see Dr. Samir Patel's when I told him what the nurse had done Dr. Samir Patel looked me in my face and told me that I was not welcome to GeorgeWashington University dialysis any more.

I, tried to get home training dialysis and Dr. Susie Lew who was in charge of the home dialysis training and she stated >> No No  you are not welcome!!  That was back in 2005 and my primary care doctor had written a referral for me to give to Dr. Susie Lew...

A female DaVita nurse in charge at GeorgeWashington University Hospital in-house dialysis unit (Omowunme Oloyede) drugged and strapping me to a bed. During one of my admissions for dialysis. Hide me on the 5th floor in what seemed to be a ward.  One of my sons walked thru GW hospital until he found me.

DaVita social workers, doctors, and nurse have sabotaged my receiving dialysis treatments and assassinated my character thru-out   DaVita and Fresenious dialysis units.

Than there was the most recent at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.  I was experiencing shortness of breath the same as I did at George Washington University Hospital when the kidney doctors ignored me and almost killed me.  At DaVita's Hopkins dialysis   Hospital the nurse was rude and very abusive.

'Please, help me and others receive safe respectful maintenance dialysis treatments.

Respectfully yours,
Mae Bruce
