The Hon. Paul Brathwaite, Ex/Dir US Congressional Black Caucus, US Congress, Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. Re: The Initial Steps For A Plan To Resolve and Mitigate Illegal Immigration Mr. Brathwaite, Recently, I have had some meetings with certain individuals in Washington, DC around this issue of the super negative effects of the massive, rapid moving, primarily Mesoamerican (Mexican and Central American) illegal immigration invasion into the United States upon American Black US Citizens. The folks that I am working with on this matter are helping me to arrange some high level discussions with several different but related entities and individuals in the public and private sectors. White House Meetings One in particular is with the President of the United States, the Hon. George W. Bush. Here is my thinking and strategy. I hope that you as Executive Director will encourage the Hon. Melvin Watt, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and its members join with us in our strategies! We already have some civilians in mind on a short list and now I am asking that Diane Watson of Califorrnia; Cynthia McKinney of Georgia; Harold Ford of Tennessee, and Barak Obama of Ohio to attend the summit along with any other Black Congressional legislator. The more the better. We Understand The Mesoamerican Peoples Plight (* As Well As Other Illegal Aliens) While we do understand and even empathize with our poverty stricken Latino Indio brethren, it must be made very clear to the President that their flight from the oppressive conditions created by the cultures of corruption of Mesoamerican countries to illegally enter colonize the United States, is literally killing poor American Black citizens! We are seeking to express to President Bush the powerfully negative and devastating effects that illegal immigration is having upon American Black US citizens, which to date has not been considered in the Congressional/Presidential and media/press debates. So far these discussions are purely insensitive to and over the “bodies” of our own poor citizen and the sacred heritages of both Blacks and Whites. Leaders of both political parties in the Congressional “train-wreck” over the issues of illegal immigration are looking to the President to forge a compromise, however, there is no way that he can do such a deal without first fully and completely hearing from American Black citizens and understanding our plight. The Initial Steps To Resolve and Mitigate Illegal Immigration Its’ Historical Threat To Blacks is: · First, upon intently listening to and understanding my sentiments of how American Black US citizens under the leadership of the US Congressional Black Caucus, my White House connection who is a close associate of Mr. Carl Rove, instructed me to choose of team that consist of five (5) civilians and at least two Congressional Members, preferably Black, he practically assured us an audience with the President. Ř While believed that he could arrange such an encounter with President Bush without the Black Congressional leaders, it would be much simpler and more probable. So hopefully, you will hear plea as well and join us in summiting with the President of the United States. · Second, meet with and convince Mr. Bush and his team of our sentiments and resolutions to the crisis of this massive illegal immigration that is the greatest threat to American Blacks since our ancestors chattel enslavement in this country, we enjoined the whole Congressional Black Caucus. · Third, with participation from President Bush we together enjoin the full Congressional Black Caucus to strategize with us for presentation to Latino Congressional Caucus and others for consideration and adoption. · Fourth, the Caucuses and the President presents our plans and strategies to the whole Congress for acceptance and implementation. In order to clarify this strategy further, I request to visit with the Black Caucus representatives as soon as possible. Can you, would you please arrange such a meeting. Thank you very much for your time, consideration and cooperation. Sincerely in defense of our peoples, Ted Hayes Ted Hayes Chair, CAB CC: The Hon. Diane Watson; Cynthia McKinney; Harold Ford; Barak Obama; and my colleagues; etc; |
